Sewer services – everything from a single source

Cracks, shards and positional deviations in the channels or pipes endanger the groundwater, the soil and the sanitary facilities. For this reason, it is important to regularly check and maintain the sewage and sewer systems. Action should be taken not only when acute problems arise, but also preventively to avoid damage in the first place. Whether sewer cleaning, leak testing, inspection or sewer rehabilitation: Nehlsen provides you with all sewer services from a single source, and you benefit from our many years of experience in the field of sewer and wastewater systems.

Nehlsen's range of services for canalization

Wastewater pipes can be damaged by root ingrowth or other deposits, or they can slowly start to clog. This is not only a hygiene risk for the environment, but also for humans. To prevent wastewater from escaping, sewers and pipes must be cleaned. Only after successful pipe cleaning can the sewer be completely rehabilitated. The Seeing North Sea nozzle is usually used for cleaning, which is additionally equipped with a camera. This allows the sewer to be viewed and worked on at the same time. For stubborn root ingrowth, we use a root cutter to clean the pipe, which completely removes all roots in the pipe.

To the sewer cleaning

To prevent sewers from becoming blocked or damaged, they must be regularly checked for damage. However, since the channels are often angled, they are difficult to reach. To determine the condition of sewage systems, sewer TV inspection has proven to be a reliable method. A small camera travels through the channels and makes videos in real time. This makes it possible to detect damage and initiate further measures such as leak testing or pipe cleaning. We also use the DKM 150 and DKM 400 measuring probes for TÜV-certified deformation testing.

to the sewer camera inspection

If the sewer inspection reveals defects in the sewer system, such as cracks or leaks, we will repair these during the sewer renovation. In doing so, the open construction method or a trenchless renovation procedure can be used. Nehlsen will work with you to develop a renovation concept. With the help of the short liner, inliner or long packer procedure, we professionally and sustainably renovate sewer and wastewater systems after cleaning the sewer.

to sewer renovation

The tightness of sewers can be examined with the help of a leak test. This method can be used preventively to minimize consequential damage or to check whether a previous sewer renovation was successful. For the leak test, we use either air or water. One of the two is pumped into the channels to measure the pressure. If the pressure drops, there is a high probability that there is a leak in the pipes through which the water or air can escape. Nehlsen carries out professional leak tests in accordance with DIN 1986 Part 30 and advises you on how to proceed in the event of holes or damage.

Our Nehlsen suction excavator is a real multi-talent: it is used when materials are located in places that are difficult to access mechanically or logistically. In addition to areas of application such as trade and civil engineering, simpler tasks such as sand replacement in playgrounds or the replacement of drinking water filter substrate can be carried out by the suction excavator. The suction excavator is also suitable for wastewater treatment plants: the sludge is sucked through a suction hose into the integrated container and can be safely transported to another location.
